This reindeer is part of Christmas Animals - set 1. Also included are a moose and a sheep.
Fun Christmas animal heads, surrounded by a wreath. Place them on the Christmas tree as an ornament, or hang them on the wall! Can be made in any weight yarn. Pictured are versions in worsted weight and sport weight. This is not a toy – for decoration only.

“w+t” in the instructions stands for “wrap and turn”

Materials:
Green yarn for the wreath, animal color yarn for the head
Worsted weight yarn – approximately 75 yards total
DK or sport weight yarn – approximately 60 yards total
Stitch marker
Yarn needle
2 buttons or beads for eyes (or you can use yarn)
1 button or bead for nose (or you can use yarn)
Sequins or beads to decorate wreath
Sewing needle and thread for attaching buttons, beads or sequins
2 pipe cleaners for antlers (reindeer and moose)
8” of ¼” wide ribbon for the wreath bow
Plastic canvas for backing – 4” square for dk, 5” square for worsted
Polyester fiberfill or carded wool for stuffing

Needles: sz 6 double points, set of 5, if you’re using worsted weight
sz 3 double points, set of 5, if you’re using sport or dk weight
If you’re using another weight of yarn, use the recommended needles for that weight.

Size: Worsted weight version: wreath 4.5” diameter
Sport weight version: wreath 4” diameter
