This is a knitting pattern for two Santa Socks Christmas stockings with a detailed, 12 page instruction how to cast on, turn the heel and shape the toe. A basic understanding of fair isle knitting and knitting on double pointed needles is an advantage. I would rate this pattern as intermediate to advanced. The pattern contains lots of photographs and the charts for both stockings.

The pattern also contains an alphabet chart and instructions how to add a name to the top of the stocking to make it a personalized Christmas stocking.

Material (for 1 stocking):

King cole pricewise DK in colours:
Chocolate 273 – dark brown (about 25g),
Taupe 37 – medium brown (about 5g),
Fudge 1741 – light brown (about 5g),
Sand 1695 – light brown (about 25g),
Wine 032 – red (about 20g)

Set of double point needles (5)
Size Europe 4/ US 6
Tapestry needle

Size: 6.5” (16cm) wide, 22” (51cm) long

21sts wide x 26sts high over 4x4”
(10x10cm)

Other yarn can be used, size will vary.

Please note the Santas are larger than my usual patterns in this space. So if you make matching stockings, you have to adjust the lengths by leaving out smaller patterns on the leg part of the stocking. The Santas are 42 rows long, my usual patterns in this place are no longer than 31 rows. The Santas needed space :)

You may sell items made from this pattern (they sell really well!), but please don’t sell the pattern itself.

This is a very satisfying project that looks amazing (I get many compliments), but it’s actually not too difficult and quick to knit once you get the hang of it. I’m around to answer questions if you’re stuck.
