This Christmas star earring was made from a size 50 Metallic Gold thread, but it would work just as well in Silver or other colors. A thread anywhere from size 10 down would also work fine.

In addition to yarn you will also need a pair of earring hooks which can be found in most craft shops.

It is a fairly simple pattern and a good introduction to learning thread crochet.

The finished product is also extremely light on the ear.
