“Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, how lovely are your stitches!”

This squishy Christmas tree is knit flat in 2 sections and sewn together and stuffed at the end. Decorate your tree with bead baubles and either place them randomly or co-ordinate colours with your own scheme.

Skills / Techniques Used: Knitting flat, increases, decreases, using a knitted cast on to add stitches to the beginning and end of a row, beadwork

Measurements: The tree measures 6.5” / 16.5cm high and is 4” / 10cm at the widest part at the bottom.

Materials

For each Tree you will need:

• Yarn A - 16g / 0.6oz, 24yd / 22m of chunky yarn for the tree. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Grass Green
• Yarn B – 2g / 0.07oz, 3yd / 2.7m of chunky yarn in a contrast colour for the trunk. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Soft Fudge
• 2 x US size 6 / 4mm needles
• 10-30 x 6mm coloured barrel beads (depending on whether you want to decorate both sides)
• 1 x 4mm (or close size) crochet hook for adding beads
• A handful of toy stuffing
• A tapestry needle
