This gender neutral pattern is a one size fits all, stretchy cowl which can be worn scrunched down as a neck warmer, or over the head.

The gauge is not terribly crucial.

It calls for 1AZC’s half-pounder thick and thin merino slub yarn in bulky to super bulky weight. Just cast-on, knit in rib pattern and in the round, then bind-off! It is that easy! Watch the handspun self-stripe as you knit!

Pattern was knitted in handspun yarn lot #LR1615a (193 yards / 8 oz). Depending on your yardage, you may get a shorter or taller cowl. If you have less yarn, say 60 yards, you’d get a neck warmer/cowl. If you have more yarn, say 200+ yards, you’d get a taller/deeper cowl you can pull over your head with plenty around your neck to keep it warm.

1AZC has larger put-ups - pounder yarns for multiple cowls, e.g., for a party of bridesmaids. The bulky/super bulky thick and thin slub yarn comes in solid, multi-, and natural colors.
