I made this hat for my husband to wear on New Year’s eve. It is designed to be thick over the ears with a fold-over ribbed brim, but also to be breathable on top. Thanks to the chunky wool, it’s warm and also quick to make!

The hat uses less than 1 skein of the Thick & Quick yarn. It is knitted in the round from the brim up. The texture of the moss stitch helps soften the effect of the self-striping yarn.
