This lightweight shawl has a springy and crisp feeling over it - with welcome colorsplashes after a long, grey winter - and a simple knitted/crocheted border in cream to enhance the romantic style.
As it is reversible and not bulky at all you can use it in so many different ways, twist and turn it, layer it, choose which side you want to show. Easily adapted to a bigger or smaller size, and with possibilities to use more than 3 colors.
The shawl is a simple knit, suitable for almost any knitter, from a nearly fresh beginner to an advanced knitter. I found it realaxing and fun to knit - the stripes moves you on quickly.
The shawl is knitted from the neck down towards the triangle. The crocheted border gives a beautiful effect and is not difficult to manage. The flower is made in crochet.
I used the soft and eco-friendly alpaca “Superfine 3/11” from Ilóyarn to make Cissi’s shawl. You might substitute it for another soft, lightweight yarn.
