A sister pattern to the Citrine pullover, Citrine Light echoes the signature design details I love most about the original Citrine—graphic lines of crisp twisted ribbing that converge precisely at the shoulders—but turns the construction on its head.
Citrine Light is worked completely seamlessly and is knit top-down, making it easy to try on your sweater in-progress and customize the fit. The modified drop-shoulder armhole instructions include guidance on how to easily combine different sizes for the sleeves and body depending on your personal fit and ease preferences. Special techniques like the crochet cast on, cable cast on, and German short row method are thoroughly explained within the pattern to stretch your skills, and optional techniques like the tubular bind offs and Vikkel Braid at the neckline offer an elevated, professional-level finish.
Citrine Light is an engaging knit from start to finish, and one that yields an exceedingly wearable addition to your handmade wardrobe.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Pullover is knit from the top down. Stitches are cast on for the back, and back shoulders are shaped with German Short Rows; back yoke is then worked flat to the bottom of the armhole, where back stitches are placed on hold to be worked later. Front shoulders are worked from stitches held after the original cast on, shaped with German Short Rows, and the neck edges are shaped with increases until the front neck depth is reached. Additional stitches are cast on at base of front neckline, left and right front shoulder sections are joined, and front yoke is then worked flat to the bottom of the armhole. Front and back yokes are then joined in the round with additional stitches cast on at each armhole, and the remainder of the body is worked in the round. Sleeves are worked from stitches picked up around each armhole, with German short row shaping at the cap, then worked in the round top-town. The neckband is worked in the round using held stitches from the original cast on and picked-up stitches along the front neckline edge.
This pullover has a modified drop-shoulder silhouette, with additional stitches cast on at each underarm contributing to the overall circumference of both body and sleeves. Pattern has been designed to make it easy to combine different sizes of body and sleeves. Designer recommends generous positive ease through the body (+6-12” [15-30.5 cm] at the chest), and a slim fit through the sleeve (+0-2” [0-5 cm] at the upper arm).
