Warm your neck with this pretty cowl that is very simple to knit!

The slip stitch pattern highlights the cables and is an intriguing way to break up variegated yarn or add texture to a solid color.

Designed as a one skein project, this cowl would also be very easy to customize. You could make it longer or shorter by adding stitches in multiples of two to the slip stitch rib section.

Gauge is very different pre and post blocking. Pre blocking gauge is 22 sts to 4”. Post blocking gauge is 16 sts to 4”. This piece is blocked very hard to achieve drape.

There is a matching mittens pattern!

This cowl was originally designed for the 2014 Knitters Mercantile Accessory Club!
