My heart will always lie in the heart of a city.
I love the bustle, the noise, the smells and sounds. Growing up I lived near a shipyard and directly under a flight path to Logan Airport in Boston. I woke in the morning to the 7 a.m. shipyard shift-start horn and knew it was time to get up for school. When I first moved to a small town it was so quiet at night, I couldn’t sleep. This hat has the tall buildings, a fire truck, Lola’s Restaurant, a bridge in the distance and lots of windows that hide lots of city stories. Leave out the moon and stars and it becomes a City Day hat. Hat as shown has moon but no stars.

City Nights comes in two sizes:
Child / Small Adult (Medium Adult /Large Adult) LARGER SIZE SHOWN in PHOTO) and knit in worsted weight. Stranding is not nearly as hard as it may look to do.

Smaller yarns with appropriately sized needles can be substituted to make smaller sizes but instructions for doing so are not included here. Fingering, size 2 & 3 needles, DK weight, size 4 & 5 needles etc…

Small modifications have been made to the chart to increase clarity of the design. All motifs shown in hats above remain as seen. Charts are slightly different for the two sizes to accommodate the extra stitches.
