City Scarf

Knitting
March 2011
Aran / 10 ply (8 wpi) ?
14 stitches and 25 rows = 4 inches in lace pattern
US 8 - 5.0 mm
650 yards (594 m)

This oversized scarf is worked begining at a corner then continuing on the bias in a traditional lace pattern. My sample is made with String Tessa, a worsted-weight 100% Italian cashmere that comes in huge 625 yard skeins with colors that change progressively from one end of the skein to the other. For the City Scarf design, this gradual color change results in a piece with a gorgeous and fashion-forward blocks of colors that blend seamlessly together over the length of the scarf.
This pattern is currently available as a kit at Stringyarns.com, but will soon be available as a pdf download through my ravelry site.
