A beginner hat with a twist. The decorative ribbing and slouchy shape come together to show off the beauty of hand painted colours found in yarns such as Dyeabolicals Super Wash Merino. Knitting doesn’t have to be complicated to be stunning.

Sizes: XXS (XS, S, M, L), to fit 16 (18, 20, 22, 24)“ / 41 (46, 51, 56, 61) cm head circumference. Sizing allows for 1.5 to 2” negative ease. Finished Measurements : 14.5 (16, 18.5, 20, 21.5)” / 37 (41, 47, 51, 55) cm
Yarn: 110 (120, 138, 148, 158) yds / 101 (110, 126, 135, 145) m, or similar worsted weight yarn that achieves gauge.
Needle Size: US size 8 / 5 mm 16” (40cm) circular needle, or size to achieve gauge, and same-sized needles for your preferred method of small circumference knitting; US size 7 / 4.5mm 16” (40cm) circular needle for ribbing.
Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle Gauge : 18 sts = 4” / 10cm in Stockinette Stitch on larger needles.
