What am I missing?
Claire Bennet
Gauge in Diamond Seed stitch pattern : 19sts x 24 rows = 4”
This jacket is greatly inspired by the jacket Claire Bennet was wearing in an episode of the teleserie Heroes. After surfing on the web and came back empty handed, I decided to give it a try : the result is beyond my expectation!
Knitted with a thick simple plied aran weight yarn, this jacket gives you the comfort and the warmness you need during the cold season.
Here is the link for purchasing via my Etsy boutique!
I want to clarify the Diamond Seed Stitch pattern : there is no row 9. The pattern is knitted on 8 row.
PLEASE NOTE!! I was comfortably watching TV, and I realized I had forgot to mention how many skeins are needed for each size :
34”-38” : at least 7 skeins
42” : at least 8 skeins
46”-50” : 9-10 skeins.
I did the 38” size, so I don’t have any precise yardage for the other sizes. It would be really appreciated if you can communicate me the yardage you used! Thank you!
I had a comment about the Stockinette st gauge.
I know that Berroco Peruvia is an Aran weight yarn and that it is suppose to be knit with US 8 to 10 needles.
I wanted a thick and warm end fabric, so I knitted the jacket with smaller needles (US 8). It gave me a gauge of 20sts x 28rows for 4”x4”.
Maybe I am a loose knitter.
