From season three, Claire is wearing this gorgeous sweater in the library with Bree and Roger.
The pattern has tutorials, charts, pictures, and written instructions.
It’s a good idea to download the washcloth pattern and work on that first, to learn the pattern. Once you get it, you won’t have to look at a chart or read directions. You’ll be able to do it in your head.

Materials:
-Fingering weight yarn. I used Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud Fingering, “Rebecca”, 1200 yds (total), 6 skeins of 200 yds each for XS-S. Add 1 skein for M-L, 2 for XL-1XL, 3 for 2-3XL and 4 for 4-5XL. For example, for a 5XL sweater, it’ll take 2000 yards.
-Hook: E (3.5 mm)
-Highlighter to highlight your measurements on the paper
-Yard stick or measuring tape
-14 stitch markers, crochet ones that open and close (You can get 50+ for $1 on Amazon US)
-7 buttons, dark red, round, preferably pearlized/shiny to be accurate
-Blocking mats and pins
