Here is an easy crochet pattern for a Classic Infinity Cowl Scarf. It’s done with two strands of worsted weight yarn (size 4) with a large crochet hook (size P - 11.5) and can be finished in a couple of hours. The pattern uses the technique of crocheting in the back ridge of the foundation chain, which is explained with pictures in the pattern. You could also crochet in the foundation chain in the traditional way.

The scarf is crocheted in the round with no seam. Stitches used are chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. You will need two skeins of worsted weight yarn, a size P (11.5) crochet hook, and a yarn needle for weaving in the ends when you are finished.

This scarf can also be made with a single strand of bulky weight (size 5) yarn.

The scarf is 30 inches long (60” around) and 7 inches wide. It easily loops twice around your neck. If you want a longer or shorter scarf, add or subtract from the starting chain. If you want a wider scarf, add rows.

The size P hook that I use is 11.5, not 10.0.
