Cleite Shawl
This pattern is also available in print only as part of Twist & Knit: A Dozen Knitted Patterns for Handspun, Hand-dyed and One-of-a-kind Yarns, which can be purchased here.
This shawl is named after Cleite, one of the fabled Amazons of the ancient world, who accompanied the Amazon queen, Penthesilea, to the Trojan War.
Designed with a simple stitch pattern, the placement of the decreases creates a scalloped line when bound off without adding a separate edging. That makes this a perfect shawl for handspun, as you can bind off whenever you run out of yarn.
This pattern is available as a download through the Twist Collective where it was originally published.
