The lace pattern of buds of increasing size developing into flowers may look complex, but every wrong side row is purled (apart from the garter stitch edge) and between the buds and flowers are simple columns of lace trellis which are easy to memorise. The lace is charted and has written instructions as well, so you can use whichever you prefer. Stitch markers are also placed throughout the lace border to help keep track of pattern repeats.
All this makes the lace pattern much easier and quicker than it looks!
This shawl was inspired by buds gradually growing larger before eventually becoming beautiful blooms.
