First shawl kit in the Shakespeare in Lace Club for 2010! Knit in a merino-tencel blend by Wooly Wonka Fibers, with size 8/0 toho beads.

Details:

• Intermediate-Advanced Lace - stitch-work on both right and wrong side of shawl; simple cables; adding beads with a crochet hook; following charts.
• Semi-circular design, centre panel motif with a soft collar.

Beads required: shown with size 8/0 Toho-style beads, in Smokey Topaz.

Approximately 928 beads required as knit in sample. Size 1mm (US #10) crochet hook (or smaller), for adding beads.

• 3.25mm US#3 circular—min 24” (60cm) long recommended
• cable needle
• one skein Wooly Wonka laceweight; 50% merino wool / 50% tencel, 1100 yds (1005 m) / Cleopatra colourway: shawl requires 900-1000 yards)
• tapestry needle for weaving in ends, stitch markers (2)

TENSION/GAUGE
6 sts and 8 rows = 1” 2.5cm in stockinette st blocked.

FINISHED SIZE
27.5” (157 cm) long at centre; 52” (297 cm) across widest section, after blocking.
