Are you a Patsy Cline fan? You can blame my grandmother for getting me into her music. When I look at the triangles in this pattern for too long I get Patsy’s song “Triangle” caught in my head. Not the worst earworm in the world, but still… tra la la la, triangle.

Don’t like red and blue? Want to pick your own colors? I know a lot of people are afraid of deviating from the suggested color combination in a pattern, so I’ve provided you with some readymade color combos also in Brooklyn Tweed, as well as a page of color-able pattern repeats so you can try out different combinations on paper before you commit them to yarn.

More importantly, I want you to not be AFRAID to make it your own. There are so many beautiful colors out there… let’s see which ones YOU pick. There are hotlinks in the PDF to the Shelter yarn color page as well as one to an app I love, Color Viewfinder, that breaks down photographs into their component colors. Pick a photo you like, load it up, and see what main colors it contains. It’s a great inspirational tool.
