The Clinton Creek Hat features a cabled brim and stockinette stitch body topped with a charming pom-pom. The body of the hat is worked inside out in reverse stockinette stitch so that the cabled brim is right side out when flipped up after finishing.

Difficulty Intermediate

20”/51 cm brim circumference.
73/4”/20 cm height from base of ribbing to top-center of crown with brim folded.
Measurements taken after blocking.
Fits average adult head sizes 20-22”/51-56 cm.

Yarn
Approximately 270 yds/247 m of worsted weight yarn.
Classic Elite Yarns MountainTop Vista (50% superfine alpaca, 50% wool, 100 yds/91 m in 50 gr): #6016 Alabaster, 3 skeins.

Needles
Size US 7/4.5 mm circular needles 16”/40 cm long and
set of double-pointed.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Additional tools
Stitch markers, waste yarn, crochet hook size 7/4.5 mm
for Provisional Cast On, cable needle, tapestry needle,
pom pom maker.

Gauge
20 stitches and 24 rounds = 4”/10 cm in Reverse Stockinette stitch after blocking.

Notes
• This hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
• The body of the hat above the brim is worked with the wrong side facing so that the cabled brim can be folded up.
