Over-sized back fastening fisherman’s smock with cabled heart detailing, striped pants and matching beanie kit baby out for a stroll on a windswept shore.

After much testing I have decided to release this as a free pattern with the following disclaimer:

The yarn I used is a wonderful felted single, it has a firm texture which this design requires, the yarn used will greatly affect the outcome of this pattern. The garment is loose fitting - it is more of an outdoor garment.

The pattern will ask you to do some things you may think unusual, if you are a very analytical knitter or need to have a line by line explanantion you may find this extremely frustrating.

I am afraid I do not have the time to answer questions on this pattern, I have been (nicely) pressured to release the pattern and the reason I have chosen to provide it free of charge is because some knitters have found this design challenging - I do not feel I could give my usual high level of service to knitters who purchased this pattern - therefore I do not want to sell it (if my convoluted logic makes sense!)

This garment has been test knitted by 13 people, any changes have been run past at least 5 of them before the changes were made. I agree that with more revisioning this pattern could be easier to knit - but I am over it!

So - please do not attempt to knit this sweater unless you have experience and can adjust a pattern if you feel it isn’t working for you.
