Designed to match the colors of the painting “Clouded Winter Whispers”, this cowl/shawl hybrid uses a variety of textures to
create a fun, engaging pattern.

Curious about the K1Bstrand technique used in this pattern? A video explaining can be found HERE.

This pattern is what my friends and I call a “Showl” - a hybrid between a cowl and a shawl. It drapes nicely like a shawl without those crazy ends to worry about.

Designed with my handpainted yarn in the colorway “Clouded Winter Whispers“, which was dyed to match an original oil painting of the same name.

Yarn:
MC- 1 skein of The Knitting Artist: Light, speckle - 100g/400 yards, shown in “Clouded Winter Whispers.”
CC- 1 skein of The Knitting Artist: Light, Tonal - 100g/400yards, shown in “Reflecting Umber”
Example shown used about 60 g of MC and 30 g of CC

Needles:
US size 6, 16-24 in for body. Or size needed for gauge. May cast on with shorter needles if needed.

One size.

Gauge is only critical if you want a specific fit.

Must be able to knit, purl, yarn over, increase and decrease and understand written or charted instructions.
Colorwork sections involve slipped stitches, with all instructions easily explained in the pattern.

Pattern has been tested, but please message me if you find any errors or need help.
