The ultimate in softness, the Cloudfall Blanket knits quickly, providing substantial warmth. This is a reversible blanket that will keep you cosy on the couch, or rest gently on your bed until you are ready to be wrapped again. White Gum Wool Bouclé Rope yarn is like no other. Experience the lightness and bloom and enjoy this heirloom piece forever.

Kits are available through the White Gum Wool website, where you can choose solid colours, or opt for beautifully hand-dyed gradients from Changeling Coloured Yarns. There is even a clever option which combines both.

The Cloudfall Blanket is worked flat, with a neat slipped-stitch side edging and a seed stitch border at each end. The pattern includes written as well as charted instructions. A section is included beside the chart for you to tick off your repeats as you go.

Links are provided to online tutorials for our suggested cast-on and bind-off.

Sample used almost 10 balls (580m/630 yards). Variations will occur between natural (undyed) Bouclé Rope, hand-dyed and mill-dyed Bouclé Rope yarns.

Thank you to Melissa from Changeling Coloured Yarns for her beautiful gradients. To our technical editor Karen Frisa, and to Tracie for preview knitting.

This pattern would not have come about if Nan Bray had not had the idea. I am grateful for all of Nan’s early experimentation and efforts to bring the Cloudfall Blanket to life.
