This is a pattern for a very unique pair of socks. The focal point of the socks is the large and lacy cuff. The sock is constructed in way that’s quite uncommon for socks, but allows for the large and “fancy” cuff. The sock in the sample is shown with the optional beaded cuff edging. There are instructions within the pattern for how to knit the beads into the lace edging, or you can make the socks without the beads.

If you’re a lace - sock - lover, I think you’ll enjoy this pattern. Despite the lace, the sock will stay up and in place as a result of the stitches underneath the sock that you don’t see other than taking them on or off.

The socks are knitted on two circular needles, and are sized by gauge.

The stitches are charted only.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of both lace and sock knitting).

The sample was expertly test knitted by Mesha McMullen who can be contacted at meshamcmullen@outlook.com, and was knit using Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock.
