Named for a hometown (though not my own), this cowl is roughly two-thirds stockinette, and one third lace. It can be worn pinned as a wrap over the shoulders, as a long cowl, or a twice-around cowl. The cashmere in the blend results in a delicious drape. 

Knit in the round, the stockinette section goes quickly, even in fingering weight yarn. The repeating lace motif has sixteen stitches, and occurs over 27 rows. The lace pattern is both charted and fully written. The cowl is bordered with 1 inch of seed stitch

The finished cowl as written is approximately 26 in x 12 in (measured flat), with a lace panel of 18 in x 12 in. The size you make, however, is up to you. Either by increasing the repeats of the lace, or the stitches worked in stockinette before the lace begins, you can really personalize this project.

The pattern as written used 1.5 balls of Tanis Fiber Arts Purple Label Cashmere Sock yarn.
