This shawl was designed with fond memories of the many summers I have spent at the seashore. It is crocheted top-down and contains 4 sections to represent 4 treasures of the beautiful coast:

Driftwood, Shells, Starfish, and Sand Verbena

I chose to use different colors for the 4 sections. The top edge is made with a border of reverse single-crochet to create a cord-like ridge reminiscent of a corded rope.

Each section has a variable size depending on the number of rows you choose to make, and there are directions to lengthen the starting chain and first row to create a wider shawl for a crescent shape, if desired.
