Cockle Shells is inspired by visits to the seashore. Fingering-weight yarn knit at a larger gauge creates a loose, breezy fabric, and the striped body is finished with lace inspired by its mollusk namesake. This small shawl is perfect for collecting shells on the beach, sitting around the fire pit on a cool summer night, or even just keeping the air conditioning off your neck and shoulders in the office.

Shawl is worked from the top down with side and center increases. Lace pattern is both charted and written out.
