This cowl with it’s simple wavy lace pattern is perfect for showcasing those lovely little skeins of yarn that seem to be too small and precious to do anything with. I designed it specifically to use some alpaca and tussah silk handspun of mine dyed by Two Sisters String Works. It was also useful because we were having a really terrible spring this year and I needed a little extra warmth. Thankfully it’s warmed up quite a bit, as you can see from the photos.

The yarn I used is equivalent to about an aran weight so I would use something close to that whether or not you use a commercial yarn or handspun.
