This 9-page pdf pattern uses Lion Brand Wool-ease worsted weight yarn to knit a sweet, short capelet with a pointed edging. Edged with a crocheted picot trim, it fastens with a button. The capelet can be worn alone as a short wrap in warmer weather, or as a decorative accent over a coat in cold weather.

The pattern contains both written instructions and charts for the capelet, as well as written instructions for the crocheted trim, lots of photos of the finished product, including detail close-ups, and a Technique Feature photo tutorial on a crochet technique to keep the front edges of the capelet from rolling.

Also needed to make this pattern are one (7/8”) shank-type button, a sewing needle and thread to match capelet, and a safety-pin-type stitch marker.
