Collared is a uniquely constructed and technique rich knitting experience. Features sideways construction, short row shaping and knit-in set-in sleeves to give the garment a flattering fit. The only two seams in the garment use a three- needle-bind-off join to insure “no sew” knitting.

Written to be a workshop in construction and technique, the pattern booklet is 24 pages and includes full technique section, color detail photos, garment diagram and “Knitting Map” to guide the knitter. Format has readable font and pages are set up so that so that knitting “events” are not split up by page breaks. Easy to read, knitter friendly and has been successfully test knitted from the pattern multiple times.

The model uses a DK weight mohair blend yarn that knits into a light-as-a-feather garment at this gauge. Collared works well in any yarn that makes a suitable fabric at the given gauge, including aran weight yarns.

Because of the unique sideways construction, the knitter can change the finished size by adding/deleting rows on the front/back sections or by increasing the length of the collar. Length is determined by number of stitches cast on at front and is also easily customized by the knitter.

Separate pattern is available for the shorter version, Collared Shortly.
