This thick, chunky cowl mimics the popular fabrics that are usually created with the super fat knitting needles. But, the beauty here, is that you can create that look on your loom. And the stitch pattern makes for a great looking cowl on the right side AND a great looking cowl on the wrong side.

You can knit your cowl in your favorite team colors or just pick one color. Spend a couple of evenings following this simple pattern and you’ll have the perfect accessory to keep you warm.

This cowl can be knit on the UK Knit looms, the All N One loom, or the Martha Stewart loom with the small pegs in every hole.

You can knit the cowl with a total of 100 yards of a super bulky weight 6 yarn, 200 yards of a bulky weight 5 yarn, or 300 yards of a worsted weight 4 yarn. That is the total yardage needed. If you’re doing two colors, simply divide the total yardage in half and that will be the amount you need for each color of yarn.
