This vibrant, slouchy beret is the latest addition to my collection of hat crochet patterns. Beginning with a flower-like motif surrounded by a three tier brick-like design, the colorful pattern creates a beautiful, unique, wearable work of art that’s fun to make. It’s stretchy, so one size fits most women and teens. The example is made in four bright shades of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted Weight, 100% Peruvian Highland Wool - a great yarn for hats. It’s available in many colors, so, if the suggested Cranberry, Cloud, Peapod and Whirlpool are not what you are looking for, you can choose your own palette to match any mood, outfit, favorite sports team, or holiday. I think this beret would also look beautiful in 4 neutral shades or perhaps in 4 shades of a similar color. Other similar worsted yarns should also work but check your gauge. With the Color My World Slouchy Beret Crochet Pattern you can create a wonderful addition to your cooler weather wardrobe and welcome gifts for Christmas, Hanukkah, Birthdays, Mothers’ Day, and many other occasions.

Size: The flat top of the beret measures a little under 11” across. The head opening is designed to be stretchy and will stretch out a good bit larger than it looks unstretched, up to about 20” to 23”circumference. One size fits most women and teens. Instructions to adjust size in pattern.

Skill Level: Some experience is helpful. If you find the pattern challenging, patience, concentration, and checking your stitch count is the key to success! It is also highly recommended to read all the Notes!
