This pattern is quite easy - it uses only 3 basic stitches- ss, sc and ldc. If you are not familiar with linked double crochet stitch now it is time to try it - it is simple and unlike most of the other stitches leaves no holes making it perfect for hotpads, potholders and winter crochet projects.
