Range of needle sizes given, should use the size needed to obtain gauge. A looser gauge will result in a looser cowl, tighter gauge will result in a smaller one. Gauge for stranded section is 6 st/in and 6 rows/in.
Yardage requirements include both solid and multicolored yarn: approx 217yds/198m of solid
approx 100yds/92m of multicolored
Mitts should be able to be knit within the yardage requirements if gauge has been followed for the cowl, and swatch has been unraveled. You may wish to purchase additional multicolored yarn.
