This scarf is knitted in moss stitch (US seed stitch) which looks fancy and stylish even though it is a simple pattern which only uses knit and purl stitches. There is no shaping or making up and, even if you are new to knitting, you can knit this in a couple of evenings.

This pattern will make a scarf 20cm (8ins) wide by 130cm (51ins) long.

You will need:
• 200g (7 oz) 4ply wool yarn
• One pair 3¾ mm needles (US 5, old UK size 9) or size
required to achieve the stated tension
