Yipee! xx

Coltrane was designed with John Arbon Textile’s Yarnadelic in mind. This yarn is inspired by music and so I wanted to create a pattern with the same inspiration. My mind turned to the syncopated jazz rhythms of ‘A Love Supreme’ on of my favourite John Coltrane albums. The stripe sequence in this shawl is repeated and modulated in a similar way to Coltrane’s melodies. It was so much fun watching the four shades blend together and I hope you’ll have a blast doing the same with your version.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Wingspan: 208 cm / 82 inches
Depth: 61 cm / 24 inches

Coltrane is knitted from the centre out, so it is easy to increase or decrease the size by either adding or omitting repeats of the main body – please bear in mind that doing so will alter your yarn requirements.
