Sock is knit toe up with faux flap heel. Toe and heel bottom are reinforced in Fabric Stitch. “Beaded” ribbing runs up inner and outer sides of sock and heel flap. “Columns of Leaves” pattern is on instep and both front and back of leg. The pattern shows best with solid or monochromatic tonal yarn.

SIZE:
Sock stretches about 1.5-2 inches (4-5 cm). If in doubt, size down.

Small-66 sts, ~ 5.75” (14.5 cm) relaxed, 8” (20 cm) to fit, length 8.75” (22 cm)
Medium - 74 sts, ~6.5” (16.5 cm) relaxed, 9” (23 cm) to fit, length 9.25” (23.5 cm)
Large - 82 sts, ~7.25 (18.5 cm) relaxed, 10” (25 cm) to fit, length 10” (23 cm)

GAUGE: In round in stockinette - 9.0 stitches, 12 rows per inch; 3.5 stitches, 5.0 rows per cm with US 0, 2.0 mm needles. Use needle size and/or yarn weight to obtain gauge and proper fabric density.

Yarn: 400-450 yds (366-384 m) Medium Fingering Weight sock yarn. Sample knit with KnitCircus Yarns, Pixie Dust, 420 yds (384 m)/100g; 63% SW merino, 20% silk, 15% nylon, 2% silver poly; color Khione.
Needles: One 24 inch (61 cm) circular needle size US 0, 2.0 mm
Other: Darning Needle, 3 closed stitch markers.
