Just a little extra info on the Comfy Soled Socks - you can switch to the purled sole right after the heel turn for an even smoother feeling sock. It won’t wear as well as the slip1, knit 1 fabric on the sole throughout the gusset decreases but there wouldn’t be any bumps underfoot for really sensitive feet. This may be more of an issue if you are knitting your socks using heavier weight yarn than fingering.
