The Compass Rose Shawl is knit flat to create a circle shawl with a slit. The shawl is reminiscent of a cape when draped over the shoulders. The increases are placed to create a perfect circle. The finished picot bind off is meant to accentuate the arrow and chevron textures that make up the body of the Compass Rose Shawl.
