This cardigan was inspired by one of my first exam to architecture faculty, Architectural Composition.
“Composition” is a cardigan that can easily be adapted to a personalized fit. The construction, designed as a composition of individual modules, enables you to work on each module separately.

Yarn
“Mistral Plus” Manifattura Sesia: 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14) skeins, 50 g = 112 mt /122 yds (100% Pure wool).
Yarn quantities are approximate, and include a 5% margin to allow for swatching and small differences in gauge. If you intend modify body length or lengthen the right front, be sure to buy an extra skein of yarn.

Gauge (after shaping)
18 sts x 29 rows = 4inch /10 cm
This was achieved in sample knitting using 4 mm (US 6) needles. Achieving the correct gauge is essential. Please
make a swatch, wash, shape and measure it carefully, and swatch again if necessary. Whichever needle gives you the correct gauge is your gauge-size needle.

Needle 4mm (US 6) single point needle or circular needle 60 cm / 24 in long for body
Cable needle 5 mm (US 8) to bind off body and sleeve stitchs
Two set of circular needle 4 mm (US 6), gauge-size needles of your preferred type for working sleeves in the round, or 4 dpns
Crochet hook 6 mm (J-10) for provisional cast on
Stitch markers, Sewing needle, 4 Buttons

Sizing and Fit
For a close fit, select the size that is nearest to, or just above, your actual measurements. For a looser fit, select the size above your actual measurements.
