Con Amore - to all Ravelers!
I initially put this pattern up as a free pattern until the 20th of June. As it has met appreciation I have decided to keep it free for a while. Enjoy:)

Wingspan 170cm/69”. Width at largest point 27cm/11”. May be adapted, see pattern notes.

I love simple things, and my Con Amore shawl for summer is simple in my meaning of the word: a simple shape, harmony in the details, a high quality wool and also easy to make!

I wanted a narrow summer-shawl to wear on cool days and chilly evenings. I borrowed the lace that I used in “Flirt - a summer top”, and let it grow into the shawl using biased points, working more and more sts into the border. The body of the shawl is worked in st sts.

The shawl is worked side to side in one piece. The measurements are: wingspan 170cm/69” and width at the widest point (center back) is 27cm/11”.

Wool: I used one skein only of the divine linen, “Kalinka” from Karin Oberg. This is a fingering weight/4-ply that comes in skeins of 100gr/3.53 oz and 320m/350yards.

The gauge is 26sts/29 rows to 10x10cm/4x4”. Gauge is taken washed and blocked. I worked using needles 3mm/US2.5

The lace-border looks elaborate. In fact it is very simple. A repetitive pattern that is easily memorized. You have to concentrate a bit for the points of the shawl, but apart from them I think that the shawl could be worked even for an adventurous beginner.

Few abbreviations are used: yo, ssk, k2tog, sl1k2tog psso and m1l.

The pattern comes with all necessary stitch-counts. All measurements are in cm’s as well as inches. There are charts as well as row-by-row instructions for all lace involved.
