I designed this specifically to showcase the lovely Bis-Sock self-striping yarn. Choose a colourway with high contrast for a more dramatic look.

This pattern is a variation on the mitered squares concept. Half-completed squares on the front and back of the sock form concave hexagons (hence the name), while the missing tips move to the sides to fill in the gaps. The heel and toe are surprisingly intuitive, and the stretchy garter stitch provides a good fit.

There are 4 sizes. Leg and foot length are adjustable.

Biscotte Yarns is offering this model as an exclusive knitting kit until March 2026. You will be able to purchase this design as a standalone pattern on Ravelry in April 2026.
