This fun and easy-to-knit baby blanket is knit in concentric squares of stockinette and garter stitch. Instructions are given for bulky yarn for a quicker knit, but the pattern is easily adapted by adding more stitches to each section if you’d like to use a thinner yarn.

3/8/11 - I updated the pattern and changed the number of rows (dec 1 row ea patt sec) for each pattern section to make the blanket more square -- the center section looked a bit tall to me, so the blanket, especially the center, should be more square now.

3/28/11: 3/8 revision Errata: Please ignore the note, it is only applicable to WS rows. Also, Row 48 should have pm instead of sm twice as can be seen on my website here. Row 49 then is just ‘Knit, sm.’ Row 50 is the same as Row 48, except replace the pm’s with sm’s as can be seen on my website. Unfortunately I can’t update the pdf as I am having computer difficulty right now. I will update it as soon as I can. I apologize for any inconvenience.
