A stylish machine knit baby cardigan with short or long sleeves, in three sizes, with choices of two necklines and four edge finishes. Therefore at least 64 variations are possible. It can be knitted plain, striped, with lace edging or with a baby-sized Fair Isle pattern, using any yarn and gauge.
The directions have been designed around the use of a charting device, such as a Knitleader or Knit Radar, or you can use cut and sew to shape blank panels.
Included are hints and tips for preparing and measuring your swatch, blocking, cut and sew, using the garter bar and knitting vertical lace borders, in the form of mini photo tutorials. There are 24 pages in total, which can be printed out and assembled as a mini-booklet, if you so desire.
Available in three sizes, from newborn to 12 months of age.
Depending on the size chosen, from 80-100g of fingering weight yarn is required.
There is now an updated version, Conception Baby Cardigan 2. I have left the original file as is for the meantime, and will delete it once I know that the new file is working.
