Continental Divide is a pattern commemorating my move as a lifelong Midwesterner across the Rockies to settle in Seattle.

This chunky cowl is a fast knit. Shortly before you cast off, you will drop stitches to transform your fabric into a beautiful, open cowl. Don’t be scared, though: The pattern includes photos to explain the critical steps, and a small project is the perfect place to experiment with a new technique.
