Contrapunto is an asymmetrical boomerang shaped shawl, which means you start knitting the “body” of the shawl from one side tip to the other and when you finish knitting the main “triangle” you pick up stitches to work a lace band on one side of the shawl.
It’s a really relaxing knit, the main body giving a lightly textured fabric which contrasts with the lace pattern worked towards another direction, hence the name, “Contrapunto”. The shawl has an applied i-cord finishing to help hold its shape.
