Bobbles are usually worked in the background yarn, often in combination with cables. Using a contrast colour or yarn can add definition, bulk or texture to your bobbles and result in a look that is far from traditional. Changing the yarn used for the bobble has no real effect on the overall tension, so experiment with chenille, boucle or metallic yarn, using a different yarn for every bobble if you wish.

Pattern calls for 5 balls of Matchmaker in #783 “Charcoal”, 1 ball each of Kidsilk Haze in #590 “Pearl” and #604 “Caramel Swirl”
