This pattern is designed to grow with the baby, and even still be used by a toddler. Two rows of eyelets at the top let you adjust the size so little eyes aren’t covered up then when the hat needs more length to cover little ears just move the I-cord. The earflaps are removable for a more “grown-up” look. Then as they grow the I-cord can be removed to turn the hat into a gaiter keeping those cute little necks warm.
So after making many hats for fast growing kids I needed something that would last a little longer and even be adaptable for a toddler, I hope this works for you too.
