Ornaments are worked as squares or rectangles, then felted, cut into shape and embellished. Patterns for a tree, gingerbread man, and two sizes of stars.

Materials:

  • Galway Worsted (210 yds per ball): 1 ball each Red #16 (A), Blue #129 (B) and Blank #9 (C)
  • Suri Merino (109 yds per ball): 1 ball Green #1310 (D)
  • Baby Alpaca DK (125 yds per ball): 1 ball Beige #207 (E)
  • 1 small pack each 4mm and 6mm faux white pearls
  • 1 small pack 3.5mm round mixed beads
  • 1/2 oz. jar Crystal Snow or glitter glue
  • Fabric glue (clear drying)
  • 1 small bobbin ribbon (used for scrapbooking)
  • Approx. 8 inches 3/8-inch red and white gingham ribbon (for gingerbread man hanger)
  • Approx. 16 inches 1/4-inch green ribbon (for tree and star hangers)

Additional Gauge:
Approx. 15 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches/10cm in stockinette with B and smaller needles (before felting)

Approx. 16 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches/10cm in stockinette with C and smaller needles (before felting)
