Cookie’s Cowl alternates reverse stockinette stitch with a slipped stitch column and a narrow eyelet column.  The combination of textures shows well when worked with a yarn that has good stitch definition. The model was made with one skein of Berroco Flicker, a chainette yarn.

Once established, the pattern is easy to memorize.  This is an ideal project for a beginning lace knitter. The four-round pattern makes it simple to adjust the height of the cowl according to available yardage.
